Engineer manual — completing a job from start to finish
Before travelling
- Open My Day and select the assigned job.
- Review the work order, site, scope, planned service activity and any required engineer skills/parts.
- Check relevant site history, assets, manufacturer references or technical documents where needed.
At the site
- Open the Job Workspace.
- Confirm the work order and scope before making records.
- Use Forms & inspections for the required service/inspection evidence.
- Use the Site asset register for equipment-level records and equipment tests.
- Record defects/remedials as they are identified.
- Add site photos where the job workflow permits and only where appropriate/authorised.
- Record time, travel and parts used accurately.
- Complete cause-and-effect records where that job type requires them.
Before completion
- Confirm required forms/inspections are complete.
- Review defects and outstanding remedials.
- Prepare the service report/work summary and recommendations.
- Create the required certificate or handover evidence where applicable.
- Follow the configured customer/engineer sign-off workflow.
- Ensure the job can satisfy field completion rules before marking it complete.
For disciplined jobs, the platform can require a signed matching trade inspection before completion. Form/job discipline mismatches are rejected.
