Engineering calculators reference

Engineers Hub 4.0.0 includes quick field/design utilities for:

  • Apollo/Hochiki addressing references and address decoding;
  • fire alarm loop calculations;
  • sounder/beacon circuit calculations;
  • false alarm rate calculations;
  • battery capacity;
  • voltage drop;
  • PSU load;
  • Ohm’s law;
  • emergency lighting battery estimates.

Using a calculator safely

  1. Enter values using the units shown by the calculator.
  2. Review the displayed result and any entered system limits.
  3. Save/reference calculations through the platform where the workflow provides history.
  4. Independently check safety-critical design values against the current manufacturer data, design specification and applicable standards.

These tools are engineering aids. They do not replace competent design, manufacturer software, commissioning procedures or required verification.
